The Lexus IS300 featured here is another great modification by the western on the IS300 or also known Toyota Altezza in Japanese Domestic Market (JDM). Eventhough, the factory setting 2jZ-GE engine is good enough in term of power, but many of the IS300 enthusiasts choose the 2JZ-GTE taken from Toyota Supra simply because of the possible engine swap with minor mod.

If you thing that the swap is easy, you are definitely wrong, nothing bolts in and fits, some of the things need to undergo major mod.

Not to mention that all IS300 comes with auto tranny !

The engine swap also maybe very much related to the famous legendary rear wheel drive AE86. What do you think of this Toyota monster.

This is Honda Acura RSX Type S which were sold for US market. If you look it at glance,you might think this is another Honda Integra Type - R. Based on wikipedia, in 2005 the RSX Type-S received camshafts, b-pipe and muffler from the exhaust, 4.77 final drive ratio, crankshaft pulley and the intake snorkel duct from the Japanese model Honda Integra Type-R. Rev-limit was also increased from 8100 rpms to 8300 rpms.

But of course, in Malaysia, the Integra Dc5 still the best compared to this RSX, hardly heard someone imported this model from US eventhough they have the AP. Unlike RSX, the Type R has reduced weight, a 220 PS / 164 kW / 217 hp (162 kW) K20A engine (LSD) and stiffer springs and shocks, 4 piston Brembo brakes, 17″ wheels on Bridgestone Potenza tires, Recaro suede seats, body trim, and more. The IIHS did not rate the RSX.

The RSX that we have here has done some minor mod in its overall outlook and also interior. Look nice with evo regamaster wheel….

The TEAM Lexus will competing in the American GT2 LeMans Series in July with their Lexus IS 350 GT2. The Lexus IS 350 GT2 is powered by a production-based V6 enginewith major modification with can deliver around 470 hp.

The Lexus IS 350 GT2 will debut at the Tokyo Auto Salon and will race for the first time at the Twelve Hours of Sebring in March.

Honda Japan has recently announced that they will introduce a street-legal, track-ready version of the Civic Type-R sedan at the upcoming Tokyo Auto Salon in January.

This race version bodykits is enhanced with a wing spoiler, clear tail-lights and a set of 19-inch alloy wheel. The interior has seen a major changes, I like the door panels which were replaced with carbon fibre which I believe as parts of their effort to reduce this car weight. You can also see similar material used on the new sports steering wheel, the handbrake and the centre dash.

Another great afford by Honda Japan in encouraging amateur race drivers to take part in Honda’s One Make race series.  They has released a special ‘one make race’ version of it’s Civic Type R sedan to be contested in the 2008 Honda Exciting Cup One Make Race Civic Series.  The Civic Type R One Make Race (OMR) version is built on a made-to-order basis.  The price of the Civic Type R OMR version is only 1,690,500 yen compared to the standard production Civic Type R price of 2,835,000 yen.

The Civic Type R OMR version is stripped of all needless parts and is intended for race use only so it cannot be registered for road use. The omitted parts include:
